Ok! I am going to invite you into my pantry. This is a big deal… its like saying I am going to let you see my underwear drawer. Most of the time lets face it we stuff our groceries on the shelf, trying to crowd it all in and shut the door. Not thinking about it again until you go to grab your pasta sauce and can’t find it. Or you have company over and they follow you in to grab a bottle of wine.
If you cook as much as I do, this room is used a lot! The great thing is the existing space was pretty large, but not living up to its full potential. First thing we did was add plywood shelving that I painted white. This not only changed the look of the room but it doubled the storage space. I also found this butcher block countertop at Second Use (if you have not heard of this place you must check it out) for only $65! We cut it to make a L shape counter and used pipes for the legs. Allowing room for the wine refrigerator to fit underneath. Lastly we found this beautiful solid wood door at Second Use and finished it with a natural wood wax. All of my wood accents warm up the space as well as add much needed storage.
Check back soon for the Kitchen reveal!!
